LEITAT is a Spanish Technological Center specialized in production technologies, developing R&D activities in the areas of biomedicine, biotechnologies, environment, surface treatments, material science, engineering, nanotechnology and renewable energies with deep knowledge and experience in tech-transfer to several industrial sectors. Areas of specialization: Oncology, nanotechnology, medtech, preclinical models, toxicology, microbioma, Additive Manufacturing, Healthcare Living Lab.

Dr. Izabel Alfany

Dr Izabel Alfany is Biologist and holds a PhD in Biomedicine from the University of Barcelona. She is Business Development Manager at LEITAT Technological Center, responsible for the strategic initiatives in the Healthcare sector.

Currently, she leads the promotion of new collaborations and represents the Organisation in different cutting-edge initiatives, such as EIT-HEALTH, EARTO HealthTech WG or ETP-Nanomedicine. In 2015, she was appointed by the European Commission as independent expert to assist with the evaluation of proposals and to review funded Projects.

Dr. Miriam Corredor

Dr. Miriam Corredor holds a BA in Chemistry from the IQS University, a Master in Research in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the Ramon Llull University performed in the Spanish Council for Scientific Research (CSIC). After several years working as a post-doc researcher she started as a project manager and business developer of the Nanobiotechnology for Diagnostics group in the CSIC.

She is senior Project Manager in LEITAT where she is currently leading the Healthcare LivingLab Catalonia which mission is to promote the development, transfer and dissemination of scientific and technologic knowledge in the health sector applying the user/patient-centered approach in collaboration with hospitals. She has previously leaded CIMTI that is another singular initiative with the aim to increase the success rate of projects developed in the Catalan Health System adapting the CIMIT’s (Boston) methodologies. In 2019 she has finished a Master in Business Innovation.
